i'm not getting a call list even though when i do the test it says connected to coldcallblocker - i have downloaded to my laptop, and have checked the modem is ok ..any suggestions?

It sounds like you're 95% of the way there. The software has installed okay, you're able to connect to the ColdCallBlocker Network and you have a known-good working modem etc.

Try clicking the Options button in the ColdCallBlocker software and selecting the Modem drop down list. How many devices are listed there?

With your laptop connected to your phone line, try selecting different modem devices from that list, including any "Direct Connection" devices that are listed and then look for an on-screen display the next time you receive an incoming call. Once you see that, you'll know the correct device has been selected.

Also, look out for the forthcoming update to ColdCallBlocker which will feature a handy on-screen wizard to help with selecting the correct modem.
