  • What is ColdCallBlocker™ for Windows™?

    ColdCallBlocker™ is software that runs quietly in the background on your PC and listens out for signals from your dial-up modem thus notifying you when you are receiving an incoming telephone call over your land-line. You can configure the ColdCallBlocker™ software to check for certain telephone numbers and quickly cut off anyone who calls you from one of those numbers.

  • How do I know if my computer system is compatible with ColdCallBlocker Desktop™?

    ColdCallBlocker™ runs on Windows XP and Vista. In addition to our software, you will also need Caller ID service on your land-line and a Caller-ID compatible analogue modem. Checking whether you have these is easy and is the reason why we provide the ColdCallBlocker™ client software on a trial basis. Simply install the software on your PC and check to see what ColdCallBlocker™ reports on-screen when you receive an incoming call.

    ColdCallBlocker™ uses the standard Windows Installer technology from Microsoft™ so if, for whatever reason, you don't wish to continue using ColdCallBlocker™, then it can simply be removed using the usual Add/Remove Programs option inside Windows™ Control Panel.

  • Do I need to have anything else installed on my computer before installing ColdCallBlocker™?

    You will need to have the .NET Framework 3.5 from Microsoft™ installed on your computer. If you do not already have this free update then you can easily obtain it using one of several different ways. You can download it using the normal Windows Update site, but you can also downloaded it directly from Microsoft™:

  • I'm experiencing difficulties installing the .NET Framework. What should I do?

    We would suggest that you consult the excellent troubleshooting guide that Microsoft™ provides. It provides several solutions for dealing with issues related to installing their .NET Framework 3.5 update. It can be found at:
